The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), in partnership with AWeCCA, invites applications for a paid 6-month internship program based in Nairobi, Kenya. This opportunity is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals passionate about sustainable livestock development and research.

Interns will work alongside world-class researchers and animal health experts on projects addressing livestock systems, animal health, climate resilience, and value chain development across Africa. The program combines hands-on fieldwork, data analysis, and research publication opportunities.

Responsibilities: Interns will assist with field data collection on livestock health and productivity, support research activities including sample processing and laboratory work, contribute to data analysis and report writing, participate in stakeholder meetings and workshops, and help prepare publications and presentations.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree (completed within the last 3 years) in veterinary medicine, animal science, agriculture, biology, environmental science, or a related field, have strong analytical and communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office and basic data analysis software, and be a citizen of an African country.
