Since its founding, AWeCCA has reached over 25,000 animals and trained more than 15,000 farmers, veterinary professionals, and community health workers across eight African countries. Our integrated approach combines education, technology, and sustainable practices to create lasting change.
Through our four strategic domains — Human & Community Programs, Technology & Innovation, Climate & Sustainability, and Enterprise & Growth — AWeCCA has built a replicable model for animal welfare that empowers local communities to take ownership of their livestock health and well-being.

Key Achievements to Date: Our Youth Animal Welfare Ambassadors program has established over 150 school clubs across Uganda and Kenya, reaching 12,000 young people with animal welfare education. The AI disease prediction model now serves 3,000+ farming families with 95% accuracy, reducing livestock mortality by 40% in participating communities.
Climate-resilient training has helped 10,000+ farmers adapt to changing weather patterns, with participants reporting 60% water savings and 45% reduction in drought-related livestock deaths. Our entrepreneurship program has launched 52 animal health businesses, creating over 200 jobs and serving an estimated 50,000 livestock owners who previously lacked access to affordable services.
Looking ahead: AWeCCA aims to scale these proven models to reach 100,000 animals and 50,000 farmers by 2028. We are expanding into new countries, developing additional AI capabilities, and strengthening our network of partners across the continent.
Every program is rigorously monitored, with outcomes documented and shared transparently with our partners and supporters. AWeCCA is committed to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement, ensuring that resources are used effectively to create the greatest possible impact for animals and communities.
